Dear friends of Evergreen Community Church,

I am writing to give you an update on the senior pastor position at Evergreen Community Church. On January 31st the membership of ECC voted to have Phil McCallum become the senior pastor.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Pastor Paul and Joanie Walterman for their godly lives and service here at ECC. Please join with us as we honor Paul and Joanie on Sunday February 14th for only one service at 9:00 AM (we will return to two services on February 21st). In this service Pastor Paul will be preaching and we will be honoring him and Joanie with a special time of prayer. We will also be receiving a separate love offering for them at this time. After this single service we will share in a pot luck brunch together. Please use the following information as to what you can bring: last name A-F salads, G-M main dish, N-Z dessert.

Pastor Phil and Leslie McCallum’s first Sunday back with us will be February 21st. Please be praying for them as they are packing and moving from Colorado Springs and settling here. On March 21st there will be a special installation service for Phil McCallum recognizing his new ministry here at ECC.

I am very optimistic and excited to see how God will continue to move at ECC and pray that He will be glorified in all that we do. I would like to leave you with this scripture “May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word” (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 NIV).
