Reach Up to God

1.

Bible Prayers

Take this opportunity to pray through prayers in Bible.  Jesus prayed for all of us in John 17:20-26.  You can pray for the struggles you face, as shown by the prayer for forgiveness in Psalms 51:1-12 and the prayer for trust in Psalm 25:1-7.  You can also pray for scriptures of the bible and here is a list of scriptures to help you:

Psalm 126:3,5-6, 1 Peter 5:10, James 1:2-4, Nehemiah 9:6, Psalm 119:76, Psalm 24:1-2, John 3:20-21, Romans 1:25, Psalm 13:5-6, Psalm 119:64

2.

Personal Walk

Take some time to reflect with God on your walk and where you are in your journey with the Lord.  What areas of your life is the Lord speaking to you about?

"Make time for the quiet moments as God whispers and the world is loud." GOD calls us to connect with him daily in Psalm 5:3.  Sit with God and check in to reflect on the desires of your heart to Serve Him as we are instructed to do inEphesians 4:11-13 and Matthew 20:26-28.  You may want to read Romans 12:5 to reflect on what your role is in the body of Christ and how you fit in to that Community.    Then make time to worship the Lord your GOD by giving him thanks as was done in 1 Chronicles 16:29, Psalm 95:1-7, and Psalm 100:1-2.

3.

The Cross

It was on a cross where Jesus died for our sins.  Think about the sacrifice and how because of Jesus you are forgiven for your sins.  Take the time to read and reflect on Matthew 27:27-50 and close your eyes to think about the road Jesus traveled for you and the sins in your life today.  He bore the burden for you so that you could be forgiven.

4.

Communion

Communion is the culmination of the cross.   Before you begin communion read 1 Corinthians 11:28 to examine your life and recite the words of the prayer in Psalm 139:23.  Then take the elements and do as Jesus did in 1 Corinthians 11:24-26.
