How I Do My Devotions
With a sparkling engagement ring on her hand, Leslie and I gazed across a peaceful lake. I was then a young youth pastor on the verge of a 6 month ministry trip to Australia. I poured out my heart to my fiance. I was so frustrated with myself. I was a youth pastor, but I didn't have a daily devotional life. That day I made a vow that I would not read the letters she would mail to me until first I had spent time with the Lord.
That vow changed my life, for I am the result of the words that I hear from God. Over these many years, I've learned a number of secrets that have helped me to develop my relationship with Jesus through daily devotions. I want to share with you a few helpful links that will support you as you develop your own plan for hearing the interesting and important things God has to speak to you.
